Personal Memoir

If someone asked you to describe "the most important stories of your life," what would you say? Something about family or career? Missed opportunities? Fulfilled dreams, unfulfilled dreams? Nagging regrets, moments of joy?

Your stories define you. When you retell your own stories, you consider old lessons you've learned and sometimes come out with new lessons.

But can you get something from others' stories too? Of course. Hearing someone else's story reminds you to think about your own stories, what they meant to you then, and what they mean to you now.

Watching the Hand of the Lord is one woman's set of stories across four generations of family--they may be similar to or different from your own, but still with universal events in a life lived on purpose. Would you have done what Jackie did? Would your thoughts about memorable life events have mirrored hers? Would you see life the way she does or would you choose a different view?

With her no-nonsense style and practical recording of events, Jacquelyn Radichel's memoir shares deeply personal anecdotes of growing up and growing older. Through it all, her Christian witness of faith is ever-present. Come and see a small family in Iowa, who welcomed a little girl into the world and nurtured a life of faith.
